Consider the footwear or garment substrate, printing process, hand feel and use tests together.
Specify the shoe upper, fabric or other printing substrate, pretreatment and base color.
Describe print method, color paste and supporting materials, drying temperature and subsequent processing.
Define feel, elasticity, stretch and print appearance targets, with a reference sample where possible.
Share relevant adhesion, rub, flex or wash test methods and acceptance requirements.
The word ‘printing’ is not enough to establish suitability. Confirm substrate, preparation, process temperature and use tests, then validate the candidate grade.
Provide a substrate sample, desired feel, stretch requirement, print thickness and fastness test conditions. Compare candidates using the same process.
Start with the resin or emulsion type, color paste and key additives, application and drying conditions. This helps scope compatibility and application testing.
